Food for Thought Friday: merry christmas + glacier kayaking tea 🚣

Hello! Merry
Christmas Eve (if you celebrate)!

If so, I hope you're not reading your email, but in case you are, I just wanted to wish you a most wonderful holiday and say thank you so much for reading Food for Thought Friday! It really means the world to me and I am so very grateful for your support!

Some very quick + cozy food for thought...

I just got back from my honeymoon in Chile - it was amazing! I hadn't been out of the country since well before covid and it was so inspiring to experience another culture! I definitely ate some delicious things I want to recreate at home, and one of those was a very simple sounding tea that tasted holiday-like, so I figured I'd share quickly about it today!

We hiked for 8 days in Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia (the main purpose of our trip) and during the trek we got to spend a morning kayaking towards the Grey Glacier! It was really cool and also cold, so midway through the trip our tour guide pulled out a thermos and poured us all a little cup of hot tea. It was so deliciously warming and cozy that I asked for the recipe and risked dropping my phone in the icy water to write it down in my notes:

"kayak tea: cinnamon, cloves, ginger, honey"

I actually haven't made it myself yet, but I plan to this week, and what I'll do is make my fav recipe for Magic Cold Elixir, leaving out the other ingredients and adding cloves instead! Or maybe I'll try simply adding cloves as a great variation. I know I've written about the elixir many times... but it's so good, it's worth mentioning and linking again, especially this holiday:

Magic Cold Elixir
- recipe here / IG highlight video here - soothes all your symptoms, tastes like adult apple cider and coziness in a cup 😊. I make this year round whenever I feel the slightest tickle in my throat, and it is on HEAVY rotation in the fall/winter. Since I first wrote about it a few years ago, it now has many fans!

I hope you are all staying healthy and safe, and enjoying special time with people you love.

Sending virtual hugs and cozy vibes your way, and Merry Christmas!

Love,
Jess

And PS, my fav rave review from Ashley about Magic Cold Elixir...

"I drank your elixir religiously when my whole family had covid symptoms a couple weeks ago and we all became hooked… and healthy again!"
