Food for Thought Friday: my 4 favorite fall recipes 🍁

Hello and happy Friday!

Keeping today's email super short and to the point (especially since you've been hearing from me a lot in the last 2 weeks - thanks for not minding all my promotional content!)...

It's really FALL now, woohoo! Anytime the change of season comes around, I always get excited to make my old favorite recipes of that season. Eating with the seasons is one of the ways I incorporate natural variety into my diet. Also, seasonal produce always tastes better because it's fresher!

These four foods are the first things I crave when that crisp autumn air hits. If you try them, I'm confident they may just become some of YOUR favorites too!

1) Apples and Pumpkin Dip! - pumpkin almond dip is one of my best, simplest recipes ever (4 ingredients, 5 mins!)

2) Delicata Squash, roasted with seeds in/skin on (usually 25 mins at 400 degrees) - not a "recipe" per se, but IG highlight how-to video here

3) Squash-Ginger-Coconut Comfort Soup (pictured above) - original version of the recipe here (from 2015), also in my 2017 printed recipe calendar for those of you who have it!

4) Magic Cold Elixir - recipe here / IG highlight video here - soothes all your symptoms, tastes like adult apple cider and coziness in a cup 😊. I make this year round whenever I feel the slightest tickle in my throat, but it is on HEAVY rotation in the fall/winter - and in fact I am drinking some as I am writing this email! Gonna have to start coming up with some new flavor iterations I think... stay tuned.

And in case you need another reason to try Magic Cold Elixir if you haven't yet, check out this RAVE REVIEW from Ashley back in April:

“I drank your elixir religiously when my whole family had covid symptoms a couple weeks ago and we all became hooked… and healthy again!”

If that's not the best endorsement you've ever heard, I don't know what is!

Happy fall cooking!

Love,
Jess

In case you missed out, here are a few past issues to check out:

Hi, I'm Jess! I help health-conscious, busy people transform their cooking from "chore" to "whippin it up!" through intuitive cooking, which I teach through online classes, free content, coaching and more. This is my newsletter, Food for Thought Fridays, where I share highly actionable tips and inspiration to help you cook more intuitively (which makes cooking feel easier and SO much more fun!). Once a month, I share a recipe that's really worth making, and I only share those with my email subscribers.

I currently work + live on land that is the unceded territory of the Ramaytush Ohlone. And I can't wait to eat at Cafe Ohlone when they reopen someday! Check out this article about them.
