Food for Thought Friday: status update ➡️ taking a break

^found some weird and beautiful greens at a Pittsburgh farmers market and it made me SO happy! (this is amaranth, and they also had purslane!)

Hi friends!

As you may have noticed, I have not written in a while, though I said I would (sorry)!

I'm 1 week from my due date today 🤗 and cramming in those last minute to-do's, so it's time to tell you that although I originally intended to keep up with Food for Thought Friday over the past few weeks, and also have it all queued up for a couple months after the baby arrived… welp, I ran out of steam, didn’t get to it, and... it all feels right to me 🤷‍♀️!

I’ve wanted to have a baby since I was about 10 and understood that I could, and so it feels really right to just get to soak it all in and to lean in to the very-real nesting vibes, which are especially intense after moving to a new place! (And I’m super lucky to have all the support that allows me to do this!)

Also I realized I really need a creative pause! Been writing this every week for 3 years with only a few short breaks. Plus I sense a potential shift in focus/content coming, and I want give that the time and space it needs to develop… when I’m not taking care of my kid, lol 🤣. (I must admit I am weirdly curious and excited to *hopefully* turn into a personal milk factory for the next year. I'll likely eat my words very soon, but it sounds pretty cool to just be able to magically make the most perfect, delicious, personalized food for a tiny human! I digress... )

So… the point is - FFTF is on hold for now! I intend to return and will absolutely write an update and/or pop in when I feel so called, just not sure when exactly that will be. I'm going with the flow, and like to keep you on your toes, ya know?!?

Of course, feel free to unsubscribe if that's best for you. Or if you're looking for past content, here's the link to the archives, feel free to browse around!

Tata for now! See ya on the other side!

Love,
Jess
